REBELS DEFEATED The war is over, the battle’s won! The rebels and their leader, Macdonwald, have been defeated by the mighty army of King Duncan! Macbeth, the Thane of Glamis, commanded the army and led it to victory against the opposing forces, although he was absent during the end of the battle. The Thane of Cawdor, as it turns out, was a traitor working for the rebels, and is to be executed on Friday at sunrise. King Duncan has awarded Macbeth the title of Thane of Cawdor, taking place of the traitor. KING DUNCAN MURDERED Duncan, the King of Scotland, is dead! While staying at the castle of Macbeth, Thane of Cawdor, the King was stabbed to death in his bed. The body was discovered by Lord Macduff, who had visited his bedside†¦show more content†¦Lady Macbeth explained that he was sick that night and that everyone should leave, but this event has left many to reflect on whether Macbeth is right to take Duncan’s place. RUMOURS OF WITCHCRAFT Recently, there have been many claims of sorcery and black magic by civilians living in or near Dunsinane. These claims, along with ominous glows coming from the hills in the dead of night have left the population in a panic. King Macbeth has spoken out to the community saying that these witches are nothing but superstition, and that anyone who thinks they saw them has simply let their imagination run wild. He has not yet explained why he assumes they are witches. CITY OF FIFE RANSACKED The city of Fife was attacked yesterday, as a mob of mercenaries swarmed the city raiding any homes they passed. Some houses were burned and some invaded, but specifically targeted was the home of Lord Macduff, who had been visiting Dunsinane at the time of the attack. Hundreds of people died in the attack, including women and children, making it one of the worst tragedies in Scotland’s history. Despite this, the castle of Dunsinane (which has had close connections with Fife beforehand) has refused to help the families of those involved, for reasons that are not clear.
